Raising Capital is a numbers game:  You need to position the plan so that 500 or more potential investors can read it. As you can imagine it is not possible to make a personal presentation in each and every case.

The Web facilitates the best exposure for your business plan. The Business Plan needs to be set up on a web site that is conducive to your marketing and sales efforts. The domain name should be specific and unique to your project. The site should be clean and uncomplicated

Marketing of Business Plan

Attempting to raise capital indiscriminately from people just because they have $10,000. is a huge waste of time. You must always target your efforts toward identifying investors who would be interested in YOUR idea. This is a key factor to successfully finding and convincing potential investors.

Marketing drives the traffic to your web site:  When we structure the marketing program it is with the express idea of identifying people who would be sufficiently interested to at least read the business plan. Ex. If you had a children’s educational video you might market it specifically to mother’s with children in that age group. A medical device to doctors in that specialty, etc.

Comment:
This is a very tricky area governed by both federal and state securities law. All marketing and advertising materials must first be reviewed by an experienced securities attorney prior to implementation.

You struck a chord with the potential investor and got them to your website: A successful marketing campaign will drive traffic to your web site. On arriving at the web site the prospect fills out a contact sheet that among other things identifies them as an Accredited or Non-Accredited investor. The prospect is then provided access to the Business Plan.

Now if your Business Plan is compelling you have a reasonable possibility to interest them in investing in your project.
