Direct Public Offering

Direct Public Offering

Direct Public Offering is also known as an Internet offering. Similar to SCOR offerings in the type of paperwork required, this is an option you can discuss with the regional brokerage firm. The primary question you need to address is where your shares will be traded on the completion of the offering. The cost of a Direct Public Offering can easily exceed $100,000 so be careful going down this path. In addition there are ongoing annual expenses which can be fairly steep. Most clients that have an interest in doing this type of offering eventual change their minds when all the cost benefits are considered. You should first prepare a (pre) Private Placement Memorandum before any decisions are made. See IPO Initial Public Offering for more information.
